Wilkinsburg Thursday Open Market

Upon relocating to Wilkinsburg, PA, a suburb just outside of Pittsburgh, I was approached by the Wilkinsburg Chamber of Commerce to help rebrand and reinvigorate the local farmer’s market with new ideas and energy. This included coming up with a new look for the logo and branding, new marketing materials to promote the market, and creative ways to reach the public to show that the market has been updated. No longer just a farmer’s market, we transformed it into an open market, a place to purchase produce, arts and crafts, as well as attend creative workshops. As part of the new marketing, McKoy Creative tapped the talents of Dan Harris to help create street art installations that act as crosswalks for pedestrians. Together we all came up with the concept of a carrot and eggplant mosaic stencil.

Impact Hub Hero Images

Lisa from BOOM Creative Lab hit me up all the way from Austria (not to be confused with Australia) to provide some banner/hero images for Impact Hub’s new scaling initiative. Impact Hub is a cool organization that provides shared office space and networking opportunities across the globe. I created hero images for their scaling websites’ new locations. Related Collateral

Clear Sound Hearing Aid Cleaner

This illustration (yes, I drew this and colored it) was for the box packaging of their hearing aid cleaner. Clear Sound wanted a sexy depiction of their cleaner threaded through a hearing aid to add some pizzazz to their box art. Not pizzas, but pizzazz. Pizzas would be ridiculous (but entirely possible for me to draw).

Thornton Floss

Thornton wanted an illustration for their packaging that was “hot rod” and “sexy” which we translated to “not boring” and “stylish.” Never ones to back down from a challenge we made the best looking illustration of floss going through teeth in all of existence. Surely there is a world record for this. If there isn’t, we just made one up and won it at the same time.

Hello!

What started out as a joke turned into a movement. Ouchi Gallery asked McKoy Creative to participate in their annual Made In Brooklyn competition and being the ridiculous, fun loving human I am, I created a design I called The Brooklyn Hello, which is pretty much a flipping of the bird. We may not have won, but we still thought that this design was too amazing not to share with the world. Visit McKoy Creative on Society6 to cop the different incarnations of Hello! Related Collateral

Hey, LIVE! T-shirt

Based off of the John Carpenter movie They Live starring Rowdy Roddy Piper, this was the first movie that really made me understand the danger of excess, greed, and rampant consumerism. It also showed me how easy it is to manipulate people subliminally through advertising, but I promised to use my gifts for good rather than evil. . . Most of the time.

Henri Bendel Snow Globe

Henri Bendel New York needed one of their classic snow globe designs illustrated as a flat 2D image and being that it’s Bendel’s one of the largest, fanciest retailers on the planet, who were we to refuse such a request? That was a rhetorical question. Related Collateral
